TROY, N.Y. – The City of Troy will hold its 46th Annual Flag Day Parade beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday.
The two-mile parade begins in South Troy and heads into downtown along Fourth Street. An estimated four to five thousand people participated in the parade in 2012 and the turnout is expected to be just as good if not better, since it looks as though the weather will be cooperating as well. The parade will feature several local organizations, regional drum corps, and high school bands.
June 14 is the official national Flag, but many other Flag Day events will be going on throughout the Capital Region as a part of National Flag Week, which begin Sunday, June 9.
