MOREAU, N.Y. -- The Town of
Moreau says it continues to make progress in correcting the oversight that
recently lead to a level two sex offender being hired as a worker in a town
After firing the worker,
once word of his offender status became known, Supervisor Preston Jenkins tells
the NEWS CENTER they've been using increased background and registry checks on
job applicants, and have since hired three people.
By next week, Jenkins says
he hopes to have a new written hiring policy in place.
