Man pleads not guilty to murder in wife's death


ALBANY, N.Y. - On Wednesday, Albany Police say the husband of the woman found deceased in her apartment last week has been located and charged with murder.

Police say 41-year-old Robert Williams was located in New York City and transported to Albany to speak with detectives regarding the homicide of his wife, 37-year-old Sharene Wallace.

He has now been charged with second-degree murder and pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Thursday.

Wallace, of 279 Sherman Street, was found dead from multiple stab wounds in a bedroom closet on May 29th.

Williams is currently under the supervision of the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (Parole) and is a level 2 registered sex offender. Additionally, Williams is currently wanted for a Parole violation.
