Fox tests positive for rabies, bite victim to seek treatment

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – The red fox that bit a Gloversville resident in her yard have come back positive for rabies.

The victim of the attack has been notified of the test results and has been referred for secondary treatment of the injuries and exposure to rabies. 

If any other person may have come in contact with a red fox in the upper Bleecker Street area of the City of Gloversville, Gloversville PD advises them to take actions to avoid contracting the rabies virus.
