Greene County Volunteer Fireman's treasurer charged with stealing funds
CATSKILL, N.Y. - New York State Police have arrested the Greene County Volunteer Fireman's Association Treasurer for allegedly using funds to pay personal expenses.
Police say 52-year-old Mitzi-Su Fremgen, of Durham, was arrested Friday as the result of an investigation into her actions while treasurer. State Police say it was discovered that Fremgen utilized Greene County Volunteer Fireman's Association funds to pay personal expenses and then submitted fictitious documents to conceal the theft.
She has been charged with Grand Larceny 4th-degree, and Falsifying Business Records 1st-degree, both felonies. She was released to appear in the Town of Durham Court at a later date.
