State Police: Body found in downtown Albany was homeless man
ALBANY, N.Y. - New York State Police in Albany are investigating the death of a man found at the Empire State Plaza. Investigators tentatively identified the man as a homeless person.
According to State Police, troopers received a report that a body had been found outside agency 4 on the plaza around 6 p.m. Wednesday. The cause of death is pending an autopsy which will be performed at a later date.
Authorities said the dead person had frequented the area of the plaza. They will not release the man's name until his family has been notified.
