Body found in UAlbany visitor's parking lot identified

ALBANY, N.Y. – A deceased male was found Saturday morning in a University at Albany visitor's parking lot, according to school spokesman Karl Luntta.

University Police have identified the man as 18-year-old Jared Trotti from Oneonta. His body was found in a parked car in the Indian Quad visitor's parking lot after being reported to university police around 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

Campus Police Chief Frank Wiley says Trotti was a freshman at Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. He had been visiting someone at the Albany campus and apparently spent the night in the vehicle.

Wiley said police are still investigating the incident but don't suspect foul play or suicide. The cause of death was listed as 'accidental' but investigators say lab work determining the exact cause will take six to eight weeks.
