Albany police attempt to ID robbery suspect


ALBANY, N.Y. - Police in Albany are attempting to identify a suspect in reference to a robbery on Central Avenue.

Police say the robbey happened on April 10th around 1:40 p.m. at the 99 Plus Discount Store, located at 632 Central Avenue. Police responded at that time for trouble with a customer. Upon arrival, the clerk stated that a man had walked into the store with a previously purchased item and attempted to exchange it for a second item. Upon learning that the item could not be exchanged, the suspect ripped the second item out of the clerks hands and struck him in the face causing a small laceration. The suspect then fled the store with the item.

He is described as a black male, approximately 25 years of age, 5'9", 175 lbs. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white hooded sweatshirt, and flip flops. He was seen fleeing the scene in the pictured white Nissan Altima.
