ALBANY, N.Y. – Seven Capital Region CROP hunger Walks were held Sunday to raise funding for Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty.
In 2012, more than $200,000 was raised to help stop hunger in the local community and around the world. The CROP walks represent those around the world that must walk every day for food, school, medical care and more just to survive. Twenty-five percent of the total funds raised stay local.
Walks were held in Albany, Castleton, Coxackie, Greenwich, Schenectady, Ravena/Selkirk, and Northern Columbia County.
