SCHENCETADY, N.Y. – Like so many in the Capital Region, the Schenectady Greenmarket is heading outdoors to take advantage of the beautiful weather.
Now in its fifth outdoor season, the weekly attraction features more than 70 local vendors who produce everything they sell.
"It's been a long, cold spring and we're excited to be moving back into the sunshine for our fifth Outdoor Market," said Betsy Henry, Chair of the Schenectady Greenmarket Board. "Our farmers are already bringing greens, as well as the first of the season carrots and radishes, and lots of locally grown bedding plants."
From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sundays, families and friends can shop, enjoy live music and activities. Parking on the streets near city hall is free.
