SCHOHARIE, NY - On May 3rd, the State Police in Cobleskill arrested Connor Casabonne, age 20, and Bryan Lemoine, age 20, for two counts of burglary in the second degree. Both subjects reside on Main Street in the Village of Schoharie.
These arrests stemmed from an investigation that began on April 27 with the report of a burglary to a residence in the Town of Schoharie and another one reported on April 29 in the Village of Schoharie, Schoharie County. The second burglary was to a residence owned by New York State Assemblyman Peter Lopez.
Both residences were randomly selected and entered during the daytime. The majority of the property stolen was cash and jewelry, some of which has been recovered. The Schoharie Police Department assisted with the investigation.
Casabonne and Lemoine were each charged with two counts of burglary in the 2nd degree and arraigned in the Town of Schoharie Court. Casabonne was held in lieu of $20000.00 cash bail and Lemoine was held in lieu of $5000.00 cash bail. Both were committed to the Schoharie County Jail.
