ALBANY, N.Y. -- Charges
against a New York lawmaker who has been in trouble with the law look like
they'll be dropped.
According to State police,
Assemblyman Steven Katz was pulled over on the Thruway last month -- they say
he was speeding and that officers also found a small amount of pot in his car.
But during a court appearance this morning,
which Katz was not present for, his speeding ticket was reduced to a minor
traffic infraction and his other charges were dismissed because the judge ruled
they were difficult to prove.
