2 men charged in baseball bat beating

SAUGERTIES, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say two men have been charged after they ran another man's vehicle off a Hudson Valley road and beat him with a baseball bat.

Police in the Ulster County town of Saugerties tell local media outlets that 20-year-old Christopher Moxham of Mount Marion and 40-year-old Thomas DeCicco of Glasco were arrested Saturday and charged with assault.

Officials say the men forced the victim's vehicle off the Glasco Turnpike last Thursday, then chased him into an open field and used a baseball bat to beat and choke him.

Moxham and DeCicco were released after being ordered to appear to Saugerties Town Court on Wednesday. It couldn't be determined if they have lawyers.

Police say the men had an ongoing dispute.
