Schenectady residents receive green education at Earth Day Festival

NISKAYUNA, N.Y. – An Earth Day Festival in Schenectady on Sunday allowed residents the chance to learn about the environment, green energy, recycling and nature.

The festival, held at the JCC of Schenectady, let exhibitors display ways to improve human impact on the earth and global climate.

Schenectady County maintained a water quality exhibit at the festival while Albany Honest Weight Coop, Albany Vegan Network, and Niskayuna Consumer's Coop displayed natural, local and organic items.

Children and family activities included 30 minute nature walks, a Bouncy Bounce, planting, and natural edible craft.
