ALBANY, N.Y. – The teddy bears of Capital Region children
will get much needed checkups Saturday at Albany Medical Center during the 18th
annual Teddy Bear Hospital Day event.
But the event isn't just a cute play day for the kids; it
uses hands on activities to help teach them about general health, nutrition,
and basic medical procedures like calling 911.
They can also see the LifeNet helicopter, an ambulance, and
a fire truck. Information on immunizations and poison control will be provided
The day begins at 1 p.m. at the Choices Café located at the
Albany Medical Center. Admission is free and free parking is available in the
Capital District Psychiatric Center's garage.
