CASTLETON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Motorists are advised that a culvert replacement project will close a quarter of a mile portion of Route 9J just south of the village of Castleton-on-Hudson, in Rensselaer County, from Wednesday, April 10, until April 25.
Motorists will be able to use
Route 9J both north and south of the closure points, which are approximately
between Muitzeskill Road (Route 1) and the overpass for the
Berkshire Spur of the New York State Thruway.
A posted detour will take through-travelers on Route 9 from Rensselaer to Columbia County Route 26A in Kinderhook. Motorists may also use local roads in the vicinity of Route 9J.
New York State Bicycle Route 9 will detour off of Route 9J, taking cyclists onto Muitzeskill Road to Schodack Landing Road (Route 2).
