Gloversville man charged with sex abuse for 2nd time this month


GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. - For the second time this month, a Gloversville man has been charged with sexually abusing a young girl at his home.

On Monday, April 8th, the Gloversville Police Department has arrested 43-year-old William Warner III of 18 Oakland Avenue and 41 Walnut Street in Gloversville for sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl in 2010. It is alleged that while Warner had the young girl seated on his lap he began to touch her inappropriately.

Warner was first arrested on April 3rd for sexually an 8-year-old girl in 2007.

He has been remanded to the Fulton County Correctional Facility since the first arrest, charged with first-degree sex abuse.

He faces a second charge of first-degree sex abuse for the most recent arrest; which came as the result of a separate investigation.

Both abuse allegations occurred at his residence, 18 Oakland Avenue, police say.

He remains jailed on $20,000 bail for the first arrest and $5,000 bail for the second arrest.
