Vt. man arrested for domestic assault


BETHEL, Vt. – A Woodstock, Vt. man is under arrest for domestic assault after police say he injured his girlfriend during an argument.

Vermont State Police received a 911 call from a woman at Cleveland Brook Road in the Town of Bethel, Vt., advising that she was just assaulted by her boyfriend.

Officers arrived on a scene and made contact with the woman who was covered in blood and had sustained a significant laceration above her right eye. She told them that she and her boyfriend, David Connor had a verbal argument that quickly escalated.  She says Connor then grabbed her by the hood of her coat and punched her in the face. 

She was transported by White River Rescue to Gifford Medical Center to be treated for her injuries.

Connor was arrested by VS police for Domestic Assault and transported him back to the Royalton State Police Barracks for processing. 

Connor is now at the Southern State Correctional Facility on $10,000.00 bail and is scheduled to appear in Windsor County Superior Court, Criminal Division on Monday April 8, 2013 to answer to the charges.
