GLENS FALLS, N.Y. -- Glens Falls hospital is warning patients that some private information was unprotected for a time.
The hospital says it has no evidence that any of that information was compromised, but acknowledges that sensitive information of 2300 patients was stored on an open server for about four months.
As soon as the hospital became aware of that, the problem was fixed.
The hospital cut ties with the contractor responsible and notices have been sent to any patients who may have been affected.
It has also set up a call center to handle questions.
