Environmental Advocates and other groups on the so-called Green Panel released a list of "Super Bills," or priority legislation. One measure would require a comprehensive health impact assessment before permits are issued for shale gas drilling using hydraulic fracturing, or fracking.
Another bill requires better regulation of toxic chemicals in children's products.
The organizations have also pinpointed campaign finance reform as a key plank in their legislative platform.
Last year, only 2 of the panel's five Super Bills were passed. One dealt with large water withdrawals and the other with bicycle-friendly roads.
