ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany police are attempting to identify a suspect in two separate armed robberies that occurred at convenience stores in the City of Albany.
On Tuesday at 10:00 p.m., officers answered a call at The Pearl Street Market, located at 213 South Pearl Street, for a report of a robbery.
Upon arrival, the victim stated that a black male entered the store armed with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money. The victim told officers that the suspect displayed the weapon and then fled the store before getting any money.
Officers responded to Boulevard Grocery, located at 139 Henry Johnson Boulevard, on Thursday morning for a report of a robbery. When they arrived, the victims stated that a male had entered the store armed with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as black male in his late teens or early 20's. He is approximately 5'8" tall. He was last seen wearing dark colored clothing.
