Gloversville man charged with sexually abusing 8-year-old girl

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. - The Gloversville Police Department has charged a 43-year-old resident with sexual abuse after he allegedly had inappropriate physical contact with an 8-year-old female.
Police say William Warner III, of 18 Oakland Avenue and 41 Walnut Street in Gloversville, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly having sexual contact with the young girl at his former residence of 10 Glenwood Avenue in Gloversville in 2007. Police say Warner entered the bedroom where the girl was sleeping, got into bed with her and touched her inappropriately.
He has been charged with Sexual Abuse 1st-degree and remanded to the Fulton County Correctional Facility on $20,000 bail.
During the investigation, police say they learned Warner may have been involved in a similar incident with another young girl. Charges in that investigation are pending.
