ALBANY N.Y. – The St. Baldrick's Foundation staged their annual head-shaving fundraiser for research aimed at finding a cure for children diagnosed with cancer Thursday at The College of Saint Rose.
St. Baldrick's is a volunteer-driven and donor-created charity dedicated to hosting fundraisers—including head-shaving events—to support their mission, Conquer Childhood Cancers. The foundation has set the goal of raising $15,000 through Thursday's initiative.
More than 25 participants, including students and staff members, registered to shave their heads in support of the cause after collecting pledges, the proceeds of which go directly to research initiatives in hopes of finding a cure.
