Glenville business owner accused of steroid purchases

GLENVILLE, N.Y. - The Glenville Police Department has arrested a local man after an investigation into the purchase of anabolic steroids.

Glenville Police, with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, have arrested 48-year-old Anthony Crocetto, of Ballston Lake, after detectives received information from investigators of the Postal Service and Department of Homeland Security that he had allegedly ordered a large amount of liquid steroids from China.

A search warrant was obtained for his business, Superior Auto, located at 584 Saratoga Road in Glenville, where police discovered approximately 55 vials of liquid steroids and over 1,000 oral steroid tablets.

He has been charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th-degree, one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th-degree with intent to sell and one count of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. He has been remanded to the Schenectady County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
