TROY, N.Y. – Troy Police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for two local bank robberies last week.
Zachary Zeoli, of Troy, was apprehended in the Village of Menands and taken into custody Monday just after 5:30 p.m. He was transported to the Troy Police Department where he was charged with two counts of 3rd-Degree Robbery and a bench warrant for a prior offense.
He pleaded not guilty to the crimes in Troy City Court on Tuesday morning.
Police believe Zeoli is responsible for two recent bank robberies that occurred in Troy during the passed week; the March 27th robbery of a First Niagara Bank on 2nd Avenue and the March 29 robbery at the M&T Bank on Hoosick Street.
He pleaded not guilty to the crimes in Troy City Court on Tuesday morning. He is being held without bail and due back in court Friday, April 5th for a preliminary hearing.
