AMSTERDAM, N.Y. - Police in Amsterdam have arrested three females in connection to a double-stabbing which occurred Sunday afternoon on Woodrow Road.
Amsterdam Police were sent to the area of 106 Woodrow Road around 4:45 p.m. Sunday where they found a male and female were each victim to stab wounds.
Officers at the scene were told by witnesses that several females arrived at the scene in two vehicles and that the fight started over two children who had an argument at a basketball game resulting in the stabbings.
The male and female victims were sent to Albany Medical Center with stab wounds to their chest and abdomen areas. Their status is unknown at this time, but it is not believed their injuries are life threatening.
Officers soon observed a vehicle matching witness descriptions carrying four females. The car was stopped and the suspects were taken to the Police Department for interviews.
Officers were able to interview the victim who was able to identify the suspects from photos, leading to the arrest of three women.
24-year-old S'ade Faulks, 22-year-old Jessica Ramos, and 17-year-old Mareesa Darby were all arrested and charged with Gang Assault 2nd-degree in connection to the incident. All three were remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
