SAND LAKE, N.Y. - The New York State Humane Association says a $1,000 reward is being offered by State Police in Schodack for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for tossing an emaciated deceased Pit Bull puppy onto the side of the road in Sand Lake.

The Sand Lake Animal Control Officer says a person discovered the dog, just skin and bones, on Parker Road near Old Best Road on March 14th in an area where trash is often dumped in the town.

The puppy is described as being a white and tan female which appears to have been around 6 months old before it died.

New York State Police say they have been investigating the case and unsuccessfully conducting interviews to find the person responsible for the abuse.

Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at 518-732-4777.
