ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Albany County Sheriff's Office reports the arrest of a mother and son on charges stemming from an alcohol involved dispute.
Sheriff's Deputies received a complaint from an 18-year-old female, from the Town of Berne alleging she was held against her will and assaulted. The woman told officers she was involved in a physical dispute with her boyfriend Harold Albright III, 17, of 1578 Heidelberg Trail in Berne while returning from the City of Albany following the Saint Patrick's Day Parade.
The victim stated she was punched and choked by Albright III. The victim further stated that she attempted numerous times to escape from the vehicle when it came to stops, but was subsequently pulled back into the vehicle by Albright and the vehicle would proceed moving.
The vehicle was driven by Albright's mother - Mary Miesowicz, 46, also of 1578 Helderberg Trail in Berne.
During an investigation, the victim admitted to consuming alcohol that was supplied by Miesowicz prior to the incident occurring.
Both Miesowicz and Albright III were arraigned before Berne Town Justice Albert Raymond.
Albright III was charged with the following:
He was sent to the Albany County Correctional facility in lieu of $11,000 bail.
Miesowicz was charged with the following:
She was sent to the Albany County Correctional facility in lieu of $6,000 bail.
