Schenectady Police make arrest in Madison Ave. shooting


SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Schenectady Police Department has made an arrest in a February 8th shooting on Madison Avenue.

Detectives have arrested and charged 19-year-old Nasjuan Jones of Schenectady with Attempted Murder, Assault 1st-degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Reckless Endangerment relating to the shooting which took place at 5 Madison Ave. around 3:20 p.m.

Jones was arrested in Queens Wednesday morning without incident. He was remanded to the Schenectady County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail, $200,000 bond.

The victim remains in the hospital in an unknown condition.
