VICTORY, N.Y. - Residents in the small Saratoga County Village of Victory went to the polls Tuesday, voting 'no' to dissolving the village into the neighboring Town of Saratoga.
The vote was years in the making, sharply dividing the 650 people who live in Victory. But in the end, the result came to 143 'no' votes, in favor of keeping the village, versus 82 'yes' votes. If the village were to dissolve, the town would share services in hopes of cutting taxes.
