SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The Schenectady Police Department
Detective Division has made an arrest in the Trustco Bank robbery that occurred
Monday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the bank for a hold up alarm, and
were told that a male had walked into the bank wearing a mask.
Rotterdam Police Detectives had identified a person matching
the same description from a robbery that had occurred in Rotterdam on February
13th. Agents from the Federal
Bureau of Investigation also assisted with identifying the suspect and assisted
in the investigation.
While checking the area for the suspect, Rotterdam Police
Detectives stopped a vehicle in Rotterdam and detained two individuals in
regards to the incident.
The two individuals were transported to the Schenectady
Police Department for further questioning.
The Schenectady Police Department has charged Jahmar R. with
felony Robbery in the 3rd –Degree and felony Grand Larceny in the 3rd-Degree.
The second individual that was detained in the vehicle
stopped was questioned and release.
Daniels will be arraigned Tuesday morning in Schenectady
City Court.
