Funerals set for 2 victims of Herkimer shooting rampage

HERKIMER, N.Y. (AP) - Funeral services are set for two of the four men fatally shot during a man's shooting rampage in the villages of Herkimer and Mohawk last week.
Local media outlets report that services for Michael Ransear of Herkimer and Harry Montgomery Sr. of Mohawk will be held Monday.
Ransear, a 57-year-old retired corrections officer, and the 68-year-old Montgomery were both killed when Kurt Myers opened fire inside John's Barber Shop in Mohawk last Wednesday morning. Police say Myers then drove to neighboring Herkimer and fatally shot two men at a car care business.
Myers was killed by police the next morning inside an abandoned bar in Herkimer.
Two men wounded at the barber shop, including the owner, remain hospitalized Monday.
Ransear's funeral is late Monday morning at a church in Marcy.

Montgomery's services are at a funeral home in Ilion.
