The U.S. Attorney's Office says Thursday that a grand jury indictment charges 24-year-old Dawn Nguyen (wehn) of the Rochester suburb of Greece with lying on a form when she bought the guns, selling them to felon William Spengler Jr., and possessing guns while using marijuana.
Authorities say Spengler used the rifle and shotgun in the Dec. 24 attack that killed two volunteer firefighters and wounded two others as they arrived at his burning home in Webster.
Nguyen's lawyer, Matthew Parrinello, tells the Democrat and Chronicle he's awaiting documentation from prosecutors before responding in detail to the charges.
Nguyen faces a state charge of falsifying a business record.
