Police: Man exposed himself in 3 incidents in Mechanicville

MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. - The Mechanicville Police Department has received numerous complaints of a person exposing himself to females in the area.

Police say three complaints were reported - one from a minor female and two from adult females - saying the suspect was able to get the attention of the women and when they approached his car he asked if the female wanted a ride. At that time he exposed himself below the waist, police say.

The minor female told police as soon as she ran away, the suspect fled.

Police are looking for a thin white male, about 20-years-old with short dark hair and a clean shaven face.

In the first incident, the minor reported the suspect operating a newer model white four-door Hyundai or Honda driving northbound on Third Avenue in City of Mechanicville. The second two adult females describe the vehicle as a white Mitsubishi Lancer.

Mechanicville Police are reminding parents and guardians to have children walk with a friend and never to approach strangers in a vehicle. Additionally, children should report all strange encounters to an adult. Parents and guardians should take a moment to reinforce stranger awareness with their children.
