RENSSELAER, N.Y. - Students at Tech Valley High School in Rensselaer learned about the impact of trash on the environment on Tuesday by digging through the garbage.
As part of their exploration of the life cycle of products, students will detail the real life story behind everyday items. They will also learn what the ecological and human implication of these products are, all by digging through eight bags of trash brought in by teachers.
Teacher Leah Penniman is calling the project "The Story of Stuff."
