Police: Two 17-year-old females shot on First St.

ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany Police are investigating the shooting of two 17-year-old females on First Street Monday night.

Police say they responded around 11:48 p.m. to the 200-block of First Street for a report of shots fired. No victims or suspects could be located.

While investigating the shots fired, officers received a call just before 1 a.m. to Quail Street for a report of the first 17-year-old female with a wound to the torso. It was determined that she had been shot during the incident on First Street.

Then, around 2 a.m. officers received a call to Third Street for a report of a second 17-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the torso. It was determined that she was also a victim to the shooting.

Both victims were transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the shooting appears to be the result of an ongoing dispute.

The investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Albany Police Detective Division at 518-462-8039.
