NEW YORK, N.Y -- Gas
prices across the country have dipped slightly, but drivers in New York are
still paying well above the national average.
AAA is reporting a gallon
of regular gas is down a half-cent. That may not seem like a lot, but it's the eleventh
consecutive decrease.
The agency says the national
average is now about $3.70 a gallon.
That's also 42 cents cheaper
that the record high of $4.11 a gallon set back in July of 2008.
According to Albanygasprices.com,
here in the capital region we're paying $3.87 a gallon for regular -- down four
cents from last week.
