NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. (AP) - A Rensselaer County man is in the county jail after police say his blood alcohol content was nearly five times the legal limit when he crashed his pickup truck.
North Greenbush town police arrested 28-year-old Christopher Regan at 9:30 Friday morning after he veered into oncoming traffic on Route 43 and crashed in a ditch. Police say his breath test showed a blood alcohol level of .37%, nearly five times the legal limit of .08%.
Regan was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, driving without a license and several other traffic violations.
He was arraigned in North Greenbush Town Court and sent to Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of $65,000 bail. He was still there Sunday afternoon. Regan will appear in court again on March 19.
