DELMAR, N.Y. – An Albany man wanted on warrants in both South Carolina and Colorado was caught by police in Delmar during a burglary.
At noon on Wednesday, Bethlehem Police responded to Mason Road in Delmar for a reported burglary in progress. When they arrived, officers saw evidence confirming a burglary in progress at the home.
A search of the residence was conducted and officers located Nuke T. Jennings, 28, of Albany, inside the garage.
Further investigation revealed Jennings was a fugitive wanted in South Carolina and Colorado on multiple charges including burglary while armed with a firearm and armed robbery.
Jennings was charged as a Fugitive from Justice, Burglary in the 3rd-Degree and Forgery in the 2nd -Degree; Criminal Mischief in the 4th-Degree and False Personation.
He was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility. Jennings is scheduled to appear in Bethlehem Town Court on March 11 at 6 p.m. for a preliminary hearing.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
