Ballston Spa man charged with DWI already had suspended driver’s license
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – A Ballston Spa man was arrested
Saturday morning by Saratoga Springs Police on charges of DWI, and operating a
vehicle with a suspended driver's license from a prior DWI arrest.
At 2:48 a.m. on Saturday, officers stopped a vehicle on
Railroad Place and Steven L. Poissant, 58, was identified as the driver.
Poissant appeared to be intoxicated and it was determined by
officers that he was operating with a suspended driver's license from a prior
DWI arrest. He refused the field sobriety test and the prescreening test and
was placed under arrest.
He was charged with felony Aggravated Unlicensed
Operation in the 1st-Degree, misdemeanor Driving While Intoxicated, and
several driving violations.
Poissant was transported to the police department where he was
processed and celled pending a City Court arraignment.
