SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – A Ballston Spa man was arrested Saturday morning by Saratoga Springs Police on charges of DWI, and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver's license from a prior DWI arrest.

At 2:48 a.m. on Saturday, officers stopped a vehicle on Railroad Place and Steven L. Poissant, 58, was identified as the driver.

Poissant appeared to be intoxicated and it was determined by officers that he was operating with a suspended driver's license from a prior DWI arrest. He refused the field sobriety test and the prescreening test and was placed under arrest.

He was charged with felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st-Degree, misdemeanor Driving While Intoxicated, and several driving violations.

Poissant was transported to the police department where he was processed and celled pending a City Court arraignment.
