Accident in Downtown Saratoga Springs sends pedestrian to hospital

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Saratoga Springs police are investigating a serious accident at the intersection of Broadway and Lake Avenue that sent a pedestrian to the hospital.

At 2:00 a.m. Saturday, Officers responding to the intersection found a pedestrian unconscious in the roadway and a Taxi Cab stopped. Officers are presently investigating the accident, the Taxi Cab is involved and all persons involved have been accounted for.

The victim was unconscious and unresponsive at the scene and was transported to Saratoga Hospital and then taken by Med-Flight to Albany Medical Center. The victim is currently listed in Critical Condition.

The investigation is in the preliminary stages and ongoing, and when further information is available it will be released.

At this time SSPD is not releasing any names until proper notifications can be made and more information is developed regarding the accident.
