Glenville man arrested after counterfeit money investigation

GLENVILLE, N.Y. -- The Glenville Police, with the assistance of special agents of the U.S. Secret Service, have arrested a 46-year-old man after an investigation into counterfeit money.

David M. Tenace, of Vley Rd. Glenville, was charged with two counts of Forgery in the 1st-Degree and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in 1st-Degree.

Glenville Police received information that the suspect was creating computer generated $100 and $10 bills. With the assistance of the US Secret Service, a search warrant was executed on the suspect's home where several pieces of evidence were collected.

Tenace, who was home at the time of the search, was taken into custody and transported to Glenville P.D.

Tenace was processed and arraigned before Town Justice Mercy. He was remanded to the Schenectady County Jail without bail.

He is scheduled to return to court on March 12th at 5:00 p.m.
