Courtney Kessler (Washington County Sheriff's Office)
FORT EDWARD, N.Y. - The case against a Hoosick Falls man charged with manslaughter in connection with the drunken crash that killed his wife last year is moving forward.
The Washington County District Attorney and defense attorney met Thursday morning for a conference, and Courtney Kessler's trial is scheduled to begin Monday.
Authorities say the 35-year-old was driving drunk when he swerved into an oncoming lane of traffic on Route 22 in White Creek in January 2012, crashing his SUV. His wife, 30-year-old Robin Kessler was in that car and died the next day.
Kessler has pleaded not guilty to a six count indictment. His attorney tells NEWS10 they will be back in Washington County Court on Friday.
