Mechanicville Police investigate armed robbery

MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. - The Mechanicville Police Department is currently investigating a report of an armed robbery that occurred at Precious Metals Recycling on Central Avenue around 7 p.m. Wednesday night.

Police are looking for a suspect described as a black male about 5 foot 5 inches tall weighing about 180 pounds. He is described as being approximately 25 to 30 years of age and wearing dark jeans, a puffy black coat, and a red Baseball hat with white lettering.

A handgun was displayed during the robbery.
