HUDSON FALLS, N.Y. - The Hudson Falls Police maintained a precautionary presence at the Middle School Tuesday morning after two students said they had received text messages that included
threatening language.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office says police were notified of the threatening text messages Monday evening. According to police, this incident was similar to one recently and
involved the same students receiving the same type of text messages.
After an investigation Monday night with consultation from school officials, it was
determined that these texts were sent to harass the specific recipients, and
were part of an ongoing clash among seventh grade students.
The Sheriff's Office and the Hudson Falls Police say they
are working with the school to identify the source of the text
messages and those responsible will be dealt with accordingly.
