ALBANY, N.Y. – Students from across the state will rally and lobby at the Capitol Tuesday for "SUNY Speaks Up."
SUNY students will lobby their district legislators, speaking about issues important to students like increasing community college base aid, reforming community college chargeback systems, reinstating the Tuition Assistance Program for graduate students, and introducing measures that will allow schools to better meet on-campus housing needs.
The rally falls on New York's Higher Education Day, a day meant to recognize the benefit of higher education in the state.
The rally will kick off at 11 a.m. at the Empire State Plaza.
