SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – A grand reopening celebration will be held Sunday for the Saratoga Springs Library's remodeled Children's Room.
The cost of the remodel totaled $425,000, and included an improved service desk, an expansion of the Rainbow Room learning space, a nursing room, and additional improvements. Several grants and gifts helped cover the cost.
"The new space feels much more open, inviting, and accessible, and we are very pleased with the reactions we've gotten from children as they enter the room," said library director Issac Pulver. "Our hope is that experiences that kids and their families have in the library will help inspire in them a lifelong love of reading and learning."
The celebration will be held at 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. in the Crawshaw Story Room. The event will include outdoor-themed refreshments and activities to complement the nature them now incorporated throughout the room.
