KINGSTON, N.Y. – Two Kingston residents are under arrest
after a narcotics investigation by the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement
Narcotics Team and Ulster Police.
The investigation began after Ulster Police and URGENT received
a tip about Anthony Mergendahl, 30, of Sawkill Road selling cocaine.
Mergendahl later sold cocaine to undercover officers. He and
Gabrielle Piperno, 34, of Flatbush Road were arrested Saturday night during a
cocaine transaction in the area of Route 32 and Vestal Hills Drive in Ulster.
Mergendahl was charged with felony Criminal Sale of a
Controlled Substance 3rd-Degree and Criminal Possession of a
Controlled Substance in both the 3rd-Degree and 4th.
Piperno was charged with felony Criminal Possession of a
Controlled Substance 4th-Degree.
Both suspects are held pending arraignment and Mergendahl
also faces parole violations.
