CLARENDON, Vt. – Vermont
State Police arrested a 31-year-old man after he crashed his car and fled the
scene on foot.
Through State Police
investigation, with the assistance of the Rutland County Sheriff's Department,
the driver of the vehicle, Darren C. Summers, 31, was located. It was
determined by troopers that he had been driving under the influence.
He was charged with
Driving Under the Influence and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
Summers was taken into
custody and transported to the State Police barracks in Rutland. He was
released on citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court (Criminal Division) at
a later date and time.
