Surveillance photo from Key Bank showing suspects.
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The Schenectady Police Department is currently investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the Key Bank on 1610 Eastern Parkway on Friday.
According to Schenectady police, two men walked into the bank located at around 4:30 in the afternoon, handed the teller a note demanding money, and left with more than $3,000 in cash.
"They were two white males. One was wearing a winter hat with ‘Jordan' written in white across the front. The other had a baseball hat, a Pittsburgh Pirate hat with a yellow ‘P' on the front," said Sgt. Matthew Dearing of the Schenectady Police Department.
Police say no weapon was displayed but the note handed to the teller mentioned a gun.
Investigators are now trying to determine whether these bank bandits are the same ones who robbed two Trustco Banks on February 13 -- one in Guilderland at Star Plaza, the other in Rotterdam.
If anyone has any information regarding the male in the photograph please contact the Schenectady Police Department at 382-5263.
